I knew him as Peck ..... my dad James Mullen (Moon) were good friends, they always kept in touch and corresponded over the years and as my dad was having trouble writing and reading I would help him keep in touch. Over the course of the years I became friends with him,how can you not he has such an infectious personality. He was a good man. Last year I flew up from Texas to see my relatives and I said to my cousin Eddy that I would like to see Peck and I was glad I spent some time with him. I am so sad and for the family for the loss of Peck I will miss all the jokes he would send in the mail and email.

Please accept my condolences. My mother, Marjorie M. Murray was friendly with Peck. I think they drove down to WVU or up to IUP together as they were both working on graduate degrees. She spoke very highly of him and he was a very kind principal as well.
sorry to hear of your loss.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Jim McKenna. I last spent time with him in Sept ember of 2015 at our 50th class reunion. For me he was an inspiration that was a driving force in my life after high school and made me realize I could be whatever I wanted to be.
In his life, he was loved and admired by all the people who came in contact with him. He certainly was iconic and a man to be remembered. He will, as he always has, be a constant voice that will echo in my heart and mind forever.
Goodbye Mr. McKenna, I won't let you down as I always promised.

He was always a thoughtful, caring person, and a really great guy. He will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him. I will never meet a more beautiful person than Mr. McKenna. His wife was my Moms second grade teacher and a sub for me in grade school. She treated me like her own son. When she passed Mr. McKenna and I became close and I always appreciated his kind words every time he saw me. He was like a grandfather or Santa every time he walked into the room! I will miss the St. Pius days with him present. Never have I meet more lovely people. Much love to him and his family. Another great has left us. May he rest in peace.
