Obituary of Judith C. Tucci

Mount Pleasant, Judith "Judy" (Christie) Tucci, age 68 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died peacefully, Saturday July 23, 2016. Mrs. Tucci was born September 19, 1947 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late George and Gloria Harkins Christie. She was a member of the Reunion Presbyterian Church, Mt. Pleasant, PA. Judy was a 1965 graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She had been employed by Frick Hospital for many years. Judy was a joyous person who always had a smile on her face and a special gift to make people feel better about themselves. She was always there for those she loved. Her greatest talent was the ability to enter a room full of strangers and upon leaving, having touched each of them in some way. She was generous with compliments, and kind to everyone she encountered. Judy was well known throughout the Mt. Pleasant Community and could always be found walking her beloved dog Squiggy. Judy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, Mark A. Tucci , numerous cousins and many wonderful friends, especially Kevin, Lisa, and Shirley who assisted with her care during her illness. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother , Timothy A. Christie in 2000, and her sister, Karen Jean Christie in 2015. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 3 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home., 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, PA. Funeral Services for Judy will be held Wednesday in the funeral home at 12:30PM, with the Rev. Lee Maley officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Mark would like to extend a Special " Thank You" to the nursing staff who cared for Judy at UPMC, Jefferson Regional Home Health, especially Debbie, Kathy, and Jackie, and Amedisys Hospice, especially Carol and Cindy.
