Obituary of Helen Marie Puskar

Mount Pleasant, Helen Marie (Balko) Puskar, age 70 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died unexpectedly, Monday, July 25, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Puskar was born September 28, 1945 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late John and Mary Stranko Balko. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church. Helen was a graduate of the former Hurst High School. Helen is survived by her loving family: her beloved husband of 48 years, Michael P. Puskar, her children: Philip Puskar and Joanne of MA, Scott Puskar of OR, and Michelle Puskar of Mt. Pleasant, and her grandchildren, Jonah and Kevin Puskar. She is also survived by her sister and brothers; Maryann Bias and Calvary and Steve Balko, all of OH, Walter Balko and Kaye and Bernard Balko, all of Acme. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and John Balko and her sister Dorothy Stanek. In honoring Helen's wishes, there will be no hours of public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend Helen's Funeral Mass on Friday at 12:30 PM at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant.
