Obituary of Lawrence Joseph Wisniewski

 Lawrence Joseph Wisniewski , age 73 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Saturday September 16, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Wisniewski was born December 27, 1943 in Mount Pleasant, the only son of the late Peter and Anna Pietrzak Wisniewski. He is a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and the former Transfiguration Parish. Larry was a 1961 graduate of Hurst High School, as the last graduating class. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force until 1966. After his discharge, he was employed as a Senior Computer Programmer/Analyst and an Operations Control Manager for various local companies. The greatest joy in his life was watching his children grow into responsible adults and his marvelous grandchildren, the eldest five graduating at the top of their college class with at least a bachelor degree and the remaining four with the intellect and ambition to follow them.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 54 years, Constance "Connie" Pfrogner Wisniewski, and by his beloved children and grandchildren; Elizabeth Snyder and (Rev. Tim Snyder) of Belmont, OH, and grandchildren, Kayt, Alex, Baylee, and Luke of Belmont, OH, L. Paul Wisniewski and (Melissa) of Mt. Pleasant and granddaughters, Corrin and Anna, the youngest, Christopher Wisniewski and( Cynthia Slater) of Scottdale and grandson Cameron of Pittsburgh and twin granddaughters, Erika of Baltimore, MD, and Andrea and (Colin Harrer) of Irwin. Larry is also survived by his sisters, Patty DiMichele and Jimmie and Kathleen Tylka and Eddie, all of Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to his parents, who died in 1979 and 1995,Larry was preceded in death by two sisters, Maryann Oberly in 2010, and Rosemary Mucha in 2016, and by his two favorite bachelor uncles, Dizzie (Frank) in 1989, and Samuel in 1987.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM. at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A memorial service for Larry will be conducted in the funeral home at 7:45PM Tuesday by his son in law, the Rev. Tim Snyder

Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass for Larry on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in St. Pius X RC Church, 224 Summit Street, Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant.
