Obituary of Lois L. Walker

Lois L. (Lobingier) Walker, age 90 of Swansboro, NC, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, Oct 13, 2021. Mrs. Walker was born October 24,1930 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late William J.and Ann (Janek) Lobingier. Lois was a 1948 graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She married Dan A. Walker on Sept 16, 1950 and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage. Lois spent her years devoted to her husband and children. While she moved extensively following Dan’s career, her goal was always to establish a new home for her family. Their life took them from Mt. Pleasant to Pittsburgh, PA, Salina, KS, St. Louis, MO, Lincoln, NE. Chicago, IL. Decatur, IL. Minneapolis, MN. Detroit, MI. and Philadelphia, PA. before retiring to NC in 1989. Lois is survived by her children, David Walker and his wife Bev of Salina, KS and Danis Jeffords of Hubert, NC and by her three grandchildren, Dan Walker and wife Stephanie of Dallas TX, Elane Stein and husband Thomas of Salina, KS and Chad Jeffords and wife Maggie of Hubert, NC as well as six great grandchildren; Jack, Jace and Addie Stein, Hayli Mae Hilburn, Aliese Walker and Marlo Jeffords. Lois is also survived by her sister, Sally Lobingier Caruso of Mt. Pleasant In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Dan A. Walker and by her granddaughter, Danis Caryn Harris. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 12-noon until 2 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Lois will be at 2 PM in the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Howard Officiating. Private Inurnment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
