Obituary of Larry A. Mortimer

Larry A. “Mort” Mortimer, age 62 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Sunday 10/24/2021 in the Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA. Mr. Mortimer was born May 20, 1959 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late John and Dolores Kargle Mortimer. Mr. Mortimer enjoyed working on cars with his brother Barry and liked his Stoney’s Beer. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 34 years Yvonne Young Mortimer. His daughters, Christa Marie Mortimer and Melissa Ann Lynn (Ryan); his grandchildren, Allie Grace Lynn, Colton Tucker Lynn; his siblings, Bonnie Schwartz, identical twin Barry Mortimer (Carol), Terry Mortimer, John Mortimer (Tina), Ron Mortimer (Jodi), Roy Beers (Jennifer), Kevin and Keith Greenwalt. Mort is also survived by his beloved dog Nani-Belle and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Mortimer, infant sister Pamela Mortimer and his Aunt Nancy Kargle Moore. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at Noon with his Pastor Joseph Wingrove officiating at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.
