Obituary of Shawn M. Wisnewski

Shawn M. Wisnewski, age 36 of Everson, PA, died unexpectedly Saturday, (11/20/2021) in the Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Wisnewski was born Sept. 15, 1985 in Latrobe, PA, the son of Dwayne Wisnewski of Mt. Pleasant and Sherry Kerlin Wisnewski Elcock of Scottdale. Shawn was a 2004 graduate of Southmoreland High School. He was employed as a Postal Carrier by the USPS at the Smithton Post Office. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, golfer and skier and loved getting involved in projects around his home. Shawn was a loving husband, father, son and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a hardworking, loyal, honest, generous compassionate caring young man who will be missed by all who knew him. He was a man of integrity. In addition to his parents, Shawn is survived by his loving family: his wife, Cindi and his son, Kaige Wisnewski, his brothers, Stephen and Seth Elcock, both of Scottdale and by his grandmother, Ann Riggen. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his father in law Jack Williams. Shawn was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Porter and Geraldine Kerlin, his paternal grandfather, Alex Wisnewski and his mother in law Lynn Williams, and numerous other family members. Honoring the wishes of the family, there will be no hours of public visitation. Private services for Shawn will be held for his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cindi Williams for the benefit of their son Kaige, at 220 Maple St. Everson, PA 15631.
