Obituary of Carol A. Christie

Carol A. Christie, age 62 of Irwin, PA, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills, PA. Ms. Christie was born August 29, 1959 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Robert C. and Eleanore Lessick Bechtell. She was a member of St. Pius X Parish in Mount Pleasant. Carol was a 1977 graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant who had worked for Monsour Hospital and Westmoreland Manor for many years. Some of her favorite things were elephants, feeding and watching humming birds and looking for deer. She enjoyed being with her daughters and her grandson the most. Carol is survived by her loving daughters; Kayla Johnson (Matt) and Alexis Christie (Chris) and her grandson, Aiden Johnson. She is also survived by her sister, Donna M. Clark (Rob), her nieces, Jessica Peck (Josh), Jennifer Miller (Erik), Nicole Karfelt (Robert), her great nephews, Lincoln, Cade, Keaton, Robbie and Ryan and numerous cousins. Carol will also be greatly missed by her beloved dog, Duper. Family and Friends will be received Saturday, February 5th from 2 PM to 6 PM, the time of Carol’s funeral service, at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.
