Obituary of Richard Lee Sullivan

Richard Lee Sullivan, age 75 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Tuesday, February 22, 2022. In recent years, he showed his courage in facing life’s unexpected challenges. Despite the pain, Richard came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Mr. Sullivan was a member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1963-1969. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal. Richard is a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League. He served with the Boy Scouts of America in various capacities from 1986-2007. He had been employed as a Landscape Supervisor of the Greengate Mall and more recently as the Window Cleaning Supervisor for Safari. Richard enjoyed family time, camping, making stain glass projects, woodworking, playing games, helping others and staying connected with people he knew on Facebook. Richard is survived by his wife, Jamye Lynn-Timms Sullivan of Mt. Pleasant, daughter Christina (William) Brown of Virginia, sons Matthew (Jessica) Sullivan of Jeannette, Mark (Brenda) Sullivan of Hunker and Delbert J. (Katlyn) Timms of Scottdale; grandchildren Gaby (Johnny) Bone of Idaho, Maddy Brown of Virginia, Draven Sullivan of Jeannette; great-grandchildren Stanley, Rylie, and Charlie Bone of Idaho; brothers and sisters, Carl (Betty) Sullivan of Ohio, Patricia Harper of Florida, Barbara (Gary) Frame of Ohio, Kathy Hamilton of West Virginia, and left many nieces, nephews who loved him dearly, and many friends. He will also be greatly missed by his cats, Daisy Mae and Little Foot. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ann Hastings, father Hobert Sullivan, grandsons Logan & Ronan Timms, siblings Bill Sullivan, Eric Watson, Celeste Weeden, Joyce Greene and also his beloved cat, Spooky. Family and friends are invited to attend Richard’s Memorial Service on Saturday, March 5th at 2:00 PM, held at Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Greensburg, PA 15601. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions can be made to your local animal shelter in memory of Richard Lee Sullivan.
