Obituary of Jerome Costelnock

Jerome Costelnock, USAF (Retired) age 99 of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday February 23, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Costelnock was born in Moorewood, PA, the son of the late Henry and Helen F. Kuczkowski Costelnock. Mr. Costelnock was a member of the former Transfiguration Church in Mt. Pleasant. Jerome was a proud veteran the US Air Force serving in World War II and retiring after more than 40 years of service as Senior Master Sergeant. Mr. Costelnock is survived by his loving family, his children, Paul J. Costelnock (Debra), Marcia A. Poole, and Jerome C. Costelnock (Linda); his loving grandchildren, Asa Costelnock, Alexander Costelnock, Melinda Helfer, Christopher Costelnock, Michael Bashioum, Sarah Clausner, Courtney McHugh, Joshua Costelnock, Zachary Costelnock, and Kenneth Bruno; and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, William Costelnock; his sister, Delores Harhai; his sister-in-law Eleanor Hamrock; and by a special nephew Bobby Costelnock. In addition to his parents Jerome was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Helen Catherine Hamrock Costelnock; his son, David E. Costelnock; his son-in-law, Marshall Poole; and by his brothers, Walter, Richard, and Leonard Costelnock. At the request of Mr. Costelnock all viewing and services will be private. A private Interment with military honors will be in Arlington National Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant.
