Obituary of Antonette Irene Bierer

____________________________________________________________________________ Tarrs, Antonette Irene Teti (Tate) Bierer, age 85 of Tarrs, PA, died Wednesday (6/22/2011) in Excela Heath- Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Bierer was born January 3, 1926 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Josephine Isola Teti. Antonette was a member of the former St. Bernadine Roman Catholic Church. She was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School and then worked until her retirement as a storeroom clerk at the former Ames Department Store. Antonette was a member of the East Huntingdon Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and bingo with her family and friends. She loved cooking and baking. Antonette dearly loved her family and enjoyed caring for them all; they were her greatest treasure. She is survived by her loving family: her children; Daniel R. Bierer, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Connellsville, Debra Miller and her husband William of New Florence and Candice (Candy) Bierer of Tarrs. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Melissa Bair (Ron), Thomas DeRosa (Margo), Daniel R. Bierer, III (Lori), and Kelly Judy (Dylan), and by her great grandchildren; Joshua, Thomas, Brett, Tanner, Baylee, Douglas, Daniel and Jacob. She is also survived by her sister:Betty Hagood and her husband William of Cheyanne, WY In addtion to her parents, Antonette was also preceded in death by her husband Daniel Ross Bierer in 1964 and the following sisters and brother: John Tate, Geraldine Shondelmyer, Marie Germano, and Dolores Kozar. Family and Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Antonette will be held Monday at 11:00AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis A. Bogusz, officiating. Interment will be in the Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
