Obituary of Norman L. Conn

Connellsville, Norman L. Conn, age 70 of Connellsville, PA, (Bullskin Township), died Tuesday (07/26/2011) in Excela Heath- Frick Hospital. Mt. Pleasant, PA. Mr. Conn was born August 15, 1940 in Normalville,PA, the son of the late John Edward and Sarah Firestone Conn. Norman belonged to the Mount Olive Evangelical Church, Bullskin Township. He attended Connellsville High School, and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Norm was a self employed truck driver prior to his retirement. He was a talented repairman who loved working on lawn mowers and anything mechanical. Norman is survived by his loving family: his wife of 45 years, Marjory Medsger Conn, and by his children; Amy A. Davis and her husband Marty of Clintwood, VA and Christopher K. Conn and his wife Joan of Connellsville. He will be greatly missed by the grandchildren that he adored; Zachary Davis, and Kelsey and Cayden Conn. Norm is also survived by his sisters and brother; Helen Donnini and her husband James of FL, Mary Buell of VA and Gerald Conn and his wife Emily of Mill Run. In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his brothers; John, George and Harry Conn, and by his sister Shirley Coyle. Family and Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Norman's Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph D. McCarty officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Bullskin Township.
