Obituary of Melissa J. Smith

Melissa J. Smith, 51 of Greensburg, passed away Friday April 7, 2023  at her residence.  Melissa was born April 5, 1972 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Lester Richter and late Anna A. Housel. 

Melissa had an infectious personality and would always see the best in everyone.  She loved doing crafts, crocheting, and most of all spend time with her grandchildren. 

Melissa is survived by her loving children, Pamela Smith, and Ernest Smith III (Shelby); her adoring grandchildren, Kaiya, Antwaan, Sage, Devin, and Willow; her siblings, Juanita, Lisa, Johnny, and Brenda; and by numerous extended family members.  She is also survived by her former husband, Ernest Smith Jr. and his parents, Ernest Smith Sr. and Doris Smith. In addition to her parents, Melissa was preceded in death by her aunt/mom who raised her, Mary Thomas.
