Obituary of Judith Ann Shaw

Judith Ann Shaw, 81 of Mt. Pleasant died Wednesday April 26, 2023 in Ligonier Gardens Personal Care Home.  Mrs. Shaw was born August 23, 1941 in Uniontown to the late Benton and Bertha Andrews Rodehaver.

Judith was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant.  She was a graduate of Uniontown High School.  Judy enjoyed helping others, especially taking care of the elderly.

Judy is survived by her loving children, John K. Shaw (Darlene) of Mt. Pleasant, and Elizabeth D. Booher (Brent) of Florida; and by her siblings, Benton and Kerry.  In addition to her parents Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald K. Shaw in 2015.

 “Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.  I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamonds glints on snow, I am the sun on the ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn’s rain.  When you awaken in the the morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.  I am the soft stars that shine at night.  Do not stand at my grave and cry.  I am not there, I did not die.”
