Obituary of Richard M. Testa

Cross Hill, SC Richard M. Testa, age 57 of Cross Hill, SC, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, PA, died, unexpectedly Monday (08/22/11) . Mr. Testa was born January 13, 1954 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Helen Sopko Testa. Rick was a graduate of the Mt. Pleasant Area High School, Class of 1971. He had been employed by the PA Turnpike Commission as a Heavy Equipment Instructor. He loved Bass fishing and was an avid golfer. Rick is survived by his loving family: his wife, Cheryl A. Wanamaker Testa, his children; Georgeanne Testa Queer and her husband James of Mt. Pleasant, Miki Testa Shodd and her husband Edward of Beaver Falls, and Danielle Testa Shaffer of Greensburg, his step children; Justin Chase of Apollo, and Chelsea Chase of Levittsville, VA. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren; Brittany Clawson, Kayla and J.P. Queer, Ella Shaffer, Ethen Shodd, Maya Shodd and Vaughn Chase. Rick is also survived by his sisters; Sherry Ogrodnik and her husband Ronald of Sarasota, FL, and Lori Suchocki and her husband Eric of Scottdale, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph "Butchie" Testa in 1955. As per Rick's wishes, there will be no public hours of visitation. His Family is inviting friends to attend his Memorial Mass on Saturday 8/27/2011 at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Summit Street, Mt. Pleasant, PA at 12-noon with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery.
