Obituary of Margaret Kubina Zemba
Youngwood, Margaret G. Kubina Zemba, age 86 of Youngwood, died Sunday (08/21/11) in Excela Health- Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, PA.
Mrs. Zemba was born April 24, 1925 in Hutchinson, PA, the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Frederick Kubina. .
She was a member of the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Youngwood, PA and also of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, Jednota Lodge. Margaret was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Margaret is survived by her loving family, her children; John Zemba and his wife Donna of Mt. Pleasant, Stephen Zemba and his wife Jan of Saratoga Springs, NY, Constance Zemba of Burlington, NJ, and Patricia Gonos and her husband Daniel of Bloomfield Hills, MI. She will be greatly missed by her beloved grandchildren; Andrew, Elizabeth, John, Earl, Natalie, Valerie and Lillian Zemba, Donna Marie Keslar, Kevin Cubberley, and her great grandchildren: Angela, Alexis, Matthew, Laura, Stephanie, Benjamin, Joseph, Jayden, Zachary, and Hunter. She is also survived by her sisters; Helen Streno of Royal Palm Beach , FL, Irene Foschia of Greensburg and Theresa Zozula of Carnegie. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Stephen J. Zemba in 1984, her step-father,George Staschak, and by her brothers and sisters; Mary Countryman, John Kubina, George Staschak, Jr., William Staschak, Mary Frederick, Margaret Zachetti and Pearl Staschak.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.
A blessing service will be held Thursday at 9:15AM in the funeral home followed by her 10 AM Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Youngwood, PA with the Rev. William G. Berkey as celebrant. Interment will be in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. The Visitation Christian Mothers and the Rosary Society will pray the rosary at 6:30 PM on Wednesday in the Funeral Home.
