One of my favorite memories of Sal was doing the Flight 93 Memorial 15K Veterans Day Walk with her in Somerset in 2001. I couldn't make the entire 9.3 miles, and ended up in the event van with blisters on both feet. But Sal, who was 65 at the time, had no problem completing the walk. I was 35, but she kicked my butt! Rest in peace my dear friend. Give all the angels in heaven a good run for their money!
