Obituary of Eileen Elizabeth Bash Miller

Mount Pleasant, Eileen Elizabeth Bash Miller, age 80 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Monday (9/26/2011) at her home. Mrs. Miller was born April 10, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant Township, the daughter of the late Harry and Gladys Shaffer Bash. Eileen was a graduate of the former East Huntingdon High School. She had worked as a sales clerk for the Stride Rite Shoe Company, both in Florida and Maryland. Eileen loved spending time outdoors, and her favorite pastime was birdwatching. Eileen is survived by her loving family: her son Rodney N. Miller and his wife Kathy of North Port, FL, her step granddaughter, Taylor Hitaffer and her husband Jeffrey of Laurel, MD, and by her cousins; William Fenton, with whom she resided, of Mt. Pleasant, and Hilda Kersten of Melbourne, FL. In honoring Eileen's wishes, there will be no public hours of visitation. Private Inurnment will be in St. John's Union Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.
