Obituary of Lillian Jane Kattera

Lillian Jane Kattera, 92, of Tarrs, passed away Tuesday May 21, 2024 at Hempfield Manor surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Kattera was born February 15, 1932 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Hamilton and Mary Morvosh Cunningham. 

Lillian was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School class of 1950.  She was a member of the all girls traveling band during high school.  She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant.  Lillian enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking, and especially spending time with her loving family.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.   

Lillian is survived by her loving family, her children, Denise F. Fontanazza (Angelo) of Mt. Pleasant, and Edward P. Kattera Jr. (Cheryl Simpson) of Acme; her grandchildren, Angelo Fontanazza III (Jaime), Anthony Fontanazza, Adam Fontanazza, and Andrea Peterson (Paul); her great-grandchildren, Ella, Tate, Joseph, Tony, Luke, Michael, and Allie; and by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edward P. Kattera Sr. in 2012; and her siblings, Gene Cunningham, and Shirley Prinkey.  

In honoring Lillian’s wishes all services will be private for her family.  A private inurnment will take place in Mt.
