Obituary of Carol A. Nedrow

Carol A. Nedrow, 77, of New Stanton, passed away Thursday June 6, 2024 at her residence.  Mrs. Nedrow was born August 15, 1946 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Harry and Josephine Hresko Gearhart. 

Carol was a graduate of Ramsay High School class of 1964.  She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant.  Carol enjoyed her family and spending time at the beach, especially wintering in her later years on Hutchinson Island in Florida.  She was a dedicated wife and mother, sacrificing to help her future husband, Richard, and her children obtain their college degrees. 

Carol is survived by her loving family, her husband of 55 years, Richard N. Nedrow; her children, Richelle VanDeventer (Thomas), and Jeffrey Nedrow (Christy); her grandchildren, Ross, Sarah Nellie, and Frances VanDeventer, and Evelyn and Emma Nedrow; her brother, Charles Gearhart (Marge); and by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her grandson, Dylan Nedrow.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.  A blessing service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by her funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church.  Inurnment in Middle Presbyterian Cemetery will follow.  A rosary will be recited prior to visitation hours at 4:45 p.m.  The family would like to send a special thank you to the excellent UPMC doctors, the thoughtful AGH hospice care team, and her very attentive primary care physician, Dr. Muna Jabbour for her outstanding care.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to be made to Westmoreland County Food Bank in loving memory of Carol Nedrow.  To offer an online condolence please visit our website at www.galone-carusofuneralhome.com
