Obituary of Eugene D. Kaczynski

Eugene D. “Gino” Kaczynski, 84 of Scottdale passed away Friday June 21, 2024 at Independence Health System-Frick Hospital.  Mr. Kaczynski was born September 26, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Josephine T. Kachinsky.

Eugene was a member of the former Transfiguration Parish and current member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.  He was a devote Catholic who never missed church and prayed the rosary every day.  Gino was a member of the Laborers Union Local 1451 of Latrobe.  He enjoyed gardening, canning, exercising, and doing odd jobs for anyone he could help.  He was a wonderful husband, father, pap, brother, and friend.

Gino is survived by his loving family, his wife Joanne Comfort Kaczynski; his daughters, Teresa Cantini (Alex), Jannine Swank (Stephen), and Lisa Kaczynski; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Blystone, Felicia Blystone, Stephen Swank, Victoria Cantini, Gabrielle Swank, and Madalyn Cantini; and by his four great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Kaczynski (Janet); and his cousins, Cathy Alexander (Joe), and Bernice Colamarino.  In addition to his mother, Gino was preceded in death by his grandmother, Victoria Kaczynski.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., 204 Eagle St., Mt.
