Obituary of Charles Rose

Charles “Chuck” Rose, 91, of Mt. Pleasant died Thursday November 7, 2024 at Mt. View Memory Care.  Mr. Rose was born August 10, 1933 in Bakerton, PA the son of the late Henry and Mary Rose of Tarrs, PA.

Chuck was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.  He was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School.  Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Yancey in the South Pacific during the Korean War.  He was employed by the Sony Corp. and the Mt. Pleasant Area School District.

Chuck is survived by his loving family, his siblings, Mary Jane Crossland, Hank (Maureen) Rose, and Theresa (Jack) Cosgrove; his sister-in-law, Linda Rose; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Louis, and Dominick; and by his sisters, Cecelia Crossland, and Margaret Snyder.

In honoring Chuck’s wishes there will be no public visitation, family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 10:00 until the hour of his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.  A private inurnment will take place in Middle Presbyterian Cemetery.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Mt. View Memory Care and Medi Home Hospice for their kind, loving, and compassionate care for Chuck.  All arrangements have been entrusted to Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt.
