Obituary of Courtney E. Warburton
Courtney Elyse Warburton, 35, of Connellsville, passed away Saturday January 4, 2025 due to complications from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was born November 13, 1989 in Hagerstown, MD to Thomas P. and Diane M. Kitta Warburton.
Courtney was a graduate of PA Cyber Charter School class of 2008 and she worked most of her life in the healthcare industry. She had a fun-loving personality and enjoyed being around people. Her laughter and smile were contagious, she had a spitfire temper, and a heart of gold. She was a fearless free spirit. Courtney cherished her sons and loved them beyond measure. They are her greatest legacy and a true gift of remembrance for our family. Courtney struggled with addiction for many years, but eventually found peace in her journey to recovery. She embraced others with the same affliction offering support and encouragement. She found comfort and strength in her spiritual walk with God, finally finding the peace that her soul longed for. She will be dearly missed, but her love, laughter, and light will shine on in our hearts.
In addition to her parents, Courtney is survived by her loving sons, Dane Mathieu Warburton and Ryker Brantley James Warburton; her brother, Seth T. Warburton and her half-brother, Anthony J. Capo (Meagan); her paternal grandfather, Thomas J. Warburton; and by her maternal grandmother, Patricia L. Kitta. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Shari A. Bandemer (John), Lori A. Hamborsky (Tim), and Theresa L. Kitta; and by numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Courtney was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Eleanor M. Warburton; and her maternal grandfather, John R. Kitta.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from Noon until the hour of her Funeral Service at 4p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to be made directly to her parents to aid in the care of her sons.
