Obituary of Terry Earl Davis

Mount Pleasant, Terry Earl Davis, age 71 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Monday (11/28/2011) in Excela-Heath Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA. Mr. Davis was born July 14, 1940 in Bridgeport, PA, the son of the late Jesse and Mildred Whitehair Davis. He was a member of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church. Terry was a graduate of the former Hurst High School, and had served in the United States Air Force from 1959 until his discharge in 1967. He was employed by the former Lenox Crystal Corp. as a glass finisher and cutter prior to his retirement. Terry was well known for his whistling; He could be heard whistling a tune wherever he went. He will be fondly remembered by his family and his friends; and to all of you "Cheerio". Terry is survived by his loving family, his nieces and nephews: Randy N. Clausner and his wife Cheryl and Juliana Dugger Clausner, all of Mt. Pleasant, Cynthia DeNezza and her husband Peter of Lemont Furnace, Scott L. Clausner and his wife Elida of Connellsville, Kerry D. Clausner and his wife Susan of Mt. Pleasant, Leah A. DeLong and her husband Donald of Markham, VA, Lori A. Schmuck and her husband Daymond of Accident, MD, Clay A. Carleton and his wife Tracy of Hutton, MD, and numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie Davis Clausner in 2005 and Joan Davis Carleton in 2008, and by his nephew, Ricky A. Clausner in 1997, and two infant brothers. Family and friends will be received Monday, December 5, 2011 from 5 until 6PM, the time of his memorial service in the Bridgeport United Methodist Church, with, his pastor, the Rev. James Fogg officiating. Private inurnment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
