Obituary of Yvonne Jacobs

Yvonne Jacobs, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at her residence with family members at her side. Yvonne was born April 25, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Abraham and Essma (Khoury) Jacobs. She was a graduate of Ramsay High School and a member of St. Michael's Antiochian Orthodox Church of Greensburg. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Westinghouse and Power X of Youngwood. She is survived by a sister, Phyliss Adele Pruitt and husband, Frank, of Mt. Pleasant; 23 nieces and nephews; several great and great-great-nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Jacobs and Jean Jacobs, of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by five brothers, William 'Doc', Sam, Alex, Jimmy and Raymond Jacobs; four and sisters, Edna and Elizabeth Jacobs, Evelyn Kelly and Genevieve Miller. She had comradely with several good friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the GALONE CARUSO FUNERAL HOME, Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Antiochian Orthodox Church, 1182 Ashalnd St., Greensburg, by the Very Rev. Archpriest John Nosal. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
