Obituary of Regina Ludwig Frederick

Mount Pleasant, Regina Ludwig Frederick, age 85 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Tuesday (01/10/2012) in Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Frederick was born July 23, 1926 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Steve M. and Virginia Switalski Ludwig. She was a member of the former Transfiguration Parish and its Holy Rosary Society, and a current member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church. She was a graduate of the former Hurst High School. Reg loved being a homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and baker, and loved sharing with her family and friends. She was a loving Mother, Aunt, Great Aunt and friend to many. Caring for her family was the most important part of her life. Her love, kindness and support will be missed by all who knew to her. Regina is survived by her loving family: her children; Diane Miller and her husband Bob of Mt. Pleasant, and Gary E. Frederick of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by Dolores Gorton and her husband Donald of Norvelt, her sister-in-law Jackie Ludwig and her nephew Bryan of Mount Pleasant, and by her niece, Theresa Peretti and Warren Turner of Mount Pleasant. "Aunt Reg" will be greatly missed by the very special loves of her life; Justin Peretti, Patti Peretti and Christopher White, and Emily Peretti and Adam Halula. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Regina was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Edward J. Frederick, one month ago on December 10, 2011,and by her brothers; Steve M. "Jabs" Ludwig, Jr. in 1985 and Gilbert R. Ludwig, in 2004 and by her sister, Amelia "Babe" Lessick in 1996. Family and Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant, PA. A blessing service will be held on Friday @9:30AM in the funeral home, followed by her 10:00AM Funeral Mass in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R C Church, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Transfiguration Parish Cemetery. A Parish Wake Service will be held @3PM and the Transfiguration Holy Rosary Society will pray the Rosary @6PM on Thursday in the Funeral Home.
