Obituary of Jennie M. Isola Caletri

Mount Pleasant, Jennie M. Isola Caletri, age 88 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Thursday (03/15/2012) in Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Caletri was born February 6, 1924 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late John and Antonette Slate Isola. She was a faithful member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Jennie was a founding member and a very active participant in her Church and it's fund raising activities, especially the Monday Night Bingo and Pizza Night. Over the years, she had held various offices with the Ladies of Mt. Carmel Society, the Sons of Italy Ladies Lodge, the Assunta Ladies Lodge, and The Servants of Mary Society. Jennie also spent many hours cooking and making Pizza for the original Nationality Days and the Mount Pleasant Glass Festival. Jennie was a loving mother, and grandmother who was dedicated to her family and to her church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and had worked with her through the many years of service that she gave to the Mount Pleasant Community and to St Pius X Church. Jennie is survived by her loving family: her son, Paul A. Caletri, her daughter, Antonette Caletri McElfresh and Lee Miller, all of Mt.Pleasant, and by her beloved grandchildren; Shawn Harris, Jennifer Selesky, Paula Caletri Pirl, Tony Caletri, Brandon Caletri, Dante Caletri, Courtney Caletri Mazak, Lauren Caletri, Paul Anthony Caletri, Tanner Caletri, Dylan McElfresh, and Tyler McElfresh.She will be greatly missed by her great grandchildren; Sydney, Kylie, Brayden and Mason. Jennie is also survived by her son-in-law, John Harris and by her daughter-in-law, Suzanne Caletri. In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her husband; Paul Caletri in 1987, her children; Anthony J. Caletri in 1995, and Mary Caletri Harris in 2006, and by her brothers and sisters; Guy, Anthony, Carmen, Salvator, Gladnor, Dominic and Infant John Isola, Angeline Juliano, Regina DeSantis, Julia Rega, and Josephine Tate. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 7 until 9 PM and Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Monday @9:30AM followed by her 10:00AM Funeral Mass in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Sunday @3PM .
