Obituary of John Landi

John Landi, age 72, of New York, formerly of Mt Pleasant, PA, died Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was born November 18, 1939 in Mt Pleasant, PA, a son of the late Aniello and Sadie Landi. John graduated in 1957 from the former Hurst High School. He then enlisted in the United States Airforce. After basic training, he was stationed in Japan where he spent the remaining time of his 4 year tour of duty at which time he was honorably discharged. John then joined American Airlines and moved to New York. He retired from the airlines with 40 years of service. John leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Josephine Landi. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his two brothers James and Mark Landi. Family and friends were received at the James Romanelli-Stephen Funeral Home, Ozone Park, NY. John's Funeral Mass was celebrated at St Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church. Committal service and interment followed in Saint John's Cemetery, Middle Village. NY.
