Obituary of E. William Cronin

Type Obit Here New Florence, E. William "Bill" Cronin Jr., age 67 of New Florence PA, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday (08/27/10) at his home. Mr. Cronin was born May 25, 1943 in Mount Pleasant, the son of the late Edward and Agnes Pfeifer Cronin. Bill was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School, class of 1961, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry from St Vincent College. He worked as a salesman for the Watson East GM Dealership in Blairsville. Bill was enjoying his retirement. He was an avid golfer and a devoted Pittsburgh Steeler and Penguin fan. Bill is survived by his loving family: his children; Brian Cronin and his wife Jessica of Bay Village, OH, Gretchen Cronin and her husband Scott Duncan of Germantown, MD, and Kristin Cronin of Ligonier, and by his companion, Denise Wynn of New Florence. He will also be greatly missed by his sisters; Patty McCracken and her husband Don of Greensburg and Peggy Tepper and her husband Paul of Mt. Pleasant, and by his many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Robert J. "Bob" Cronin in 2002. Family and friends will be received Monday from 5 until 9pm at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, PA. A blessing service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 12-noon followed by Bill's Funeral Mass at 12:30pm, at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Middle Presbyterian Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, PA. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Monday @5pm.
