Obituary of William Eugene Lessman

Mt. Pleasant, William Eugene Lessman Sr., age 77 of Mt. Pleasant PA, died Sunday (5/20/2012 in Cedar's Community Hospice Monroeville, PA. Mr. Lessman was born September 28, 1934 in Bridgeville, PA, the son of the late Lawrence and Beatrice Echard Lessman. Mr. Lessman was a longtime member of Bridgeport United Methodist Church. He had been employed for ther former Walworth Valve Company and Modulas Corporation as a bolt maker. He also had served in the United States Army National Guard. Bill was a loving husband ,father and grandfather, and was dedicated to his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping, but most of all loved frying his remote control airplane. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 57 years, Mary L. Black Lessman, his children; William Lessman , Jr. Lynn of Bear Rocks, Marsha Verhagen and Marty of Austin, TX, Todd Lessman and Jennifer of Stahlstown, Edward Lessman and Pam , Greg Lessman and Karen, and Tom Lessman all of Mt. Pleasant, and Shawn Lessman and Becky of Connellsville. His 15 grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren. His sister; Sarah (Sally) Leshko of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by his brother; James Lessman and his sister; Constance Lessman Sirianna. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Bridgeport United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. James Fogg, officiating.
