Obituary of Frank J. Pruitt
Mount Pleasant, Frank J. Pruitt, age 75 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday (6/10/2012) in Hempfield Manor, Greensburg, PA.
Mr. Pruitt was born May 22, 1937 in Ellsworth, KS, the son of the late Alfred and Dorothy Johnson Pruitt. He was a member of St. Michael's Antiochian Orthodox Church of Greensburg. Frank was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 13 years He was member of the American Legion Post 446 and the VFW Post 3368 where he served as Senior vice Commander. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan that enjoyed working at the Steeler Training camp at St. Vincent College. Frank was a loving and devoted husband and companion, a fantastic father and grandfather, and a loving brother.
Frank is survived by his loving family: his wife of 49 years, Phyllis Adele Jacobs Pruitt, his children; Beth L. Utterback and Frank J. Pruitt, Jr., both of Mt. Pleasant, and his beloved grandchildren; Joshua Pruitt, Khoury Utterback, and Jaelle Pruitt. Frank is also survived by his brothers and sisters; A. R. Pruitt, of Goose Creek, SC, James Pruitt and Peggy of Ellsworth, KS, Dwaine Pruitt and Lois of Ellsworth, KS, Dorothy Williams of Heber Springs, AK, Zona Stoops of Blair , OR, Lois Williams and Bill of California City , CA, and Maude Novotny and Don of Wilson, KS. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Virginia Jacobs and Jean Jacobs. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters; Tom Pruitt, Clara Jean Carr, Willis Pruitt, Raymond Pruitt, Ray Pruitt, George Pruitt and Glessnar Arnold.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 3 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.
Frank's Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home, with the Archpriest, John Nosal officiating.
