Obituary of Camilla Marie DiPasquale Fornal
Mount Pleasant, Camilla Marie DiPasquale Fornal, age 90 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday (09/9/2012) in the Susque-View Home in Lock Haven, PA.
Mrs. Fornal was born September 19, 1921 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Donato and Carmella Christopher DiPasquale. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and the former St. Bernardine's Parish in Mt. Pleasant, and was currently a member of the Holy Spirit Parish of Lock Haven. She was also a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society of St. Pius X Parish. Camilla was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School, where she was on Student Council, and excelled in Public Speaking. She had been a familiar face, who always had a smile to share with everyone at the former Burns Drug Store in Mount Pleasant, from where she retired from with over 30 years of service. Camilla was an avid reader, an excellent cook and a very social lady. She loved music and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. After the death of her husband, Camilla moved to Lock Haven to be with her daughter and grandchildren. She spent most of her time there sharing her favorite recipes, cooking and baking for them and just enjoying their company. She was a kind and gentle lady who touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Camilla is survived by her loving family: her daughter; Pamela Fornal McCollough and her husband Wayne of Lock Haven and by her beloved grandchildren; Marisa Lentz and her husband Chris, and Jordan McCollough. She is also survived by her brother,John DiPasquale and his wife Louise of Mt. Pleasant, by her sister-in-law, Marion DiPasquale of Satellite Beach, FL, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Camilla was preceded in death by her husband John M. Fornal, Jr. in 1999, and by her brothers Bernard, Frank and Vincent DiPasquale.
Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.
A blessing service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30AM followed by her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant.
Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A Parish Wake Service will be held on Thursday at 3:00 PM in the funeral home. To offer an online condolence, please visit our website at www.galone-carusofuneralhome.com
