Obituary of Marcus Edward Blaine

South Huntingdon Township , Marcus Edward "Marc" Blaine, age 41 of South Huntingdon Township died Saturday (12/15/2012) as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Mr. Blaine was born July 29, 1971 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Frederick E. Blaine Jr. and Esther McCracken Blaine of Mount Pleasant. He was a 1989 graduate of the Mount Pleasant Area High School. Marc was employed at Dicks Sporting Goods Distribution Center in their Maintenance Department. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, mountain bikes and especially spending time on his quad. Marc was a devoted and loving husband, son and son in law, always putting his family first, especially his wife Kathy and their dogs, Skeeter and Winnie. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Marc is survived by his loving family: his devoted wife of 16 years, Kathleen A. Gratzinger Blaine, his mother; Esther McCracken Blaine of Mount Pleasant, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joan Gratzinger DeFilippo and her husband Ron of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to his Father, Marc was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Gratzinger in 1989. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 12:30 to 8:00PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A private blessing service will be held for the family, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Private Inurnment will be in the East View Union Cemetery, Delmont, PA.
