Mount Pleasant, Paul J. Garstecki Jr., age 29 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Tuesday (1/1/2013) at his home in Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Garstecki was born June 27, 1983 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of Paul H.Garstecki, Sr. of Youngwood and Traci Jacobs Stairs and her husband John of Mt. Pleasant. Paul attended Mount Pleasant Area High School. He is survived by his loving family: his parents, Paul Garstecki, Sr. and Traci Jacobs Stairs, his son, Johnathan Paul Garstecki of New Derry and his mother, Samantha Rester, his brother, Zachary Garstecki of Youngwood and his sister, Jessica Ann Stairs of Connellsville. Paul is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Virginia Jacobs, by his step grandparents, John and Diane Stairs and by his aunts and uncles: Karen and Bruce Potoka, James Jacobs and Barbara, Stanford Garstecki and Mary Ann, Philip Garstecki and Rosalie, Rev. Daniel Garstecki and Kim, Elaine Zurick and Bernard, Sally Broush, Pamela Bush and Glenn, Rev. Cheryl Barron, Joyce Garstecki, Elizabeth Garstecki, Ruth Bayura and Paul, and Naomi Shumar and Brian.He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, James Jacobs and by his Paternal grandparents, Reverends Samuel and Loretta Garstecki. A Private Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home with Pastors, Cheryl Barron and Stuart Adams officiating.
