I met Steve in the late 90's while I was a young Trooper at the Coudersport Station. He was one of the most Senior members of the entire Department. He taught us alot about the job and life in general. My prayers will be with the Szabo family.

I worked with Steve at Coudersport. He was a Patol Corporal when I was a young impressionable Trooper. I learned alot from Steve both about the job and life. My condolences and thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My love and deepest sympathies to you Kim. I am so grateful I met you both and had a chance to spend time with you. My fondest memory of Steve is the day he gave me the tour of the property behind your home. He was so excited about being out in the country. He loved sitting out on the back porch and watching Lil Miss running around in the yard. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

My heart breaks for all of you, especially you Kim. It was such an honor and pleasure to have known Steve, he was such a wonderful, caring person. One of my fondest memories of Steve was when I visited him and Kim one Summer. I would love to be able to be sitting on their patio early in the morning, drinking coffee and enjoy his stories, I will miss that most of all. You will be deeply missed my dear friend. Love and Hugs to all of you

It is with deep sadness that I send my sympathy to the Szabo family. I worked with Steve in Punxsutawney. He made one of the most miserable years of my life worth our friendship. Jim Jackson and Steve were so kind to me and I know I share that sentiment with many others through out the State Police who worked with him. We were also in MAP together and enjoyed our once a year visits. He truly loved his family and spoke of them often. What a teddy bear! Rest in Peace, my friend and like so many others, see you on the other side. Love, Kate

My regrets and condolences to th e Szabo Family. I too am touched by your loss. I too am a retired trooper. I had the good fortune to work with Joe back in the late sixties, in Troop B. He was an outstanding person and Trooper. We rode together on midnites occasionally. I am glad for the time that we spent together. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

I got to know Steve while we were stationed in Emporium. He was a fine Trooper, but more than that, he also was one of the most thoughtful and caring men I ever met. God's Peace to the Szabo family.

I had the pleasure of working with Stene when we were both in troop vice. I remember his love of Girl Scout Cookies. He would put in an enormous order every year and he told us the little girl told her friends, "There really is a Steve Szabo!" As if defending the myth of Santa or the Easter Bunny. He was a good guy.

I first met Steve when I was a young patrol Trooper at Clearfield and he was working undercover. I had the pleasure to work with him several times, on and off throughout my career. Steve was always a top shelf guy in my book. My condolences to his family, rest easy brother, rest easy.
