Obituary of Earl James Crowley

Mount Pleasant, Earl James "Bob" Crowley, age 90 of Mount Pleasant, PA, formerly of South Hills, died Sunday (7/7/13) in the Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA. Mr. Crowley was born September 29, 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Dennis and Mary Rush Crowley .He was a former member of the Hilltop Baptist Church of Banksville. Bob was a veteran of WWII who served in the United States Army Air Force. He worked as a Boilermaker for Local 154 of Banksville. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Dormont and the American Legion Post 446 of Mt. Pleasant. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 70 years, Kathryn May Fox Crowley, his children; Harry Crowley and his wife Marcia of Pittsburgh, Sharon Benedict and her husband Art of the State of Washington, and Susan Rigby of Texas, his beloved grandchildren; Aaron Rigby, Shannon Rigby, Colleen Molinero, Kelly Crowley, and Daniel Crowley, and his great grandchildren; Paxton Cockle, Gibson Cockle, Calvin Rigby and Grady Molinero. Bob is also survived by his brothers and sister; Paul Crowley of CA, Richard Crowley of Pittsburgh, and Janet Lowery of Las Vegas, NV. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Earl James Crowley, Jr. in 1998, his brother; Thomas Crowley and his sister; Wilma Ruscinski. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Bob will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Dale L. Porterfield officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 446 of Mt. Pleasant. Inurnment will be private.
