Obituary of Lacey Rae Govern Weir

Mount Pleasant, Lacey Rae Govern Weir, age 30 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Thursday (8/15/13) in Excela Health- Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, PA. Mrs. Weir was born November 4, 1982 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of Darlene Peterson Govern of Mount Pleasant and the late Ronald Govern. Lacey was a graduate of the Mount Pleasant Area High School, where she enjoyed cheerleading, and was Captain of the squad her senior year. She had been employed by Leo's Pub and Grille of Mt. Pleasant. Lacey enjoyed her life, always bringing a smile to everyone's face saying "Lets everyone laugh and be happy". She had the ability to light up a room whenever she walked in. She enjoyed music, and was an excellent cook and baker. Lacey will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her loving family: her mother, Darlene Peterson Govern, her beloved husband, Timothy B. Weir, her sister, Sarah Justina Govern, and her nephew, Ronald Ray "Cheekers" Govern. She is also survived by her father and mother in law, Greg and Leslie Leeper Weir of Acme. Also her sister and brother in law, Danielle Weir and David Oswald, Jr. and her nephew, Davey. She will be missed by her beloved kitties, Igg, Guffy, Emmy, and Lovie, and by a host of Loving family members and friends. Lacey was preceded in death by her Father, Ronald in 2011, her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Kathleen Rae Lacey Govern, and by her maternal grandparents, the Rev. Herbert and Sarah Mullen Peterson. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Additional viewing will be held Monday from 12:30 to 1:30PM in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 485 Wesley Chapel Road, Scottdale, PA 15683.Lacey's funeral service will immediately follow, with the Rev Thomas C.
