Obituary of William F. Sebek

Mount Pleasant, William F. Sebek, age 93 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Wednesday (09/11/2013) in the Life Care Hospital of Pittsburgh. Mr. Sebek was born May 29, 1920 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late James and Ann Ocasek Sebek. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg, and the former Forty Martyrs Roman Catholic Church. Bill was a retired Coal Miner who worked for United States Steel, Maple Creek Mine for over 40 years. He was a proud Veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post 446 and VFW Post 3368, both of Mount Pleasant. He is survived by his loving family: his children: Mary Rita Breegle of Greensburg, and Patricia Antoine and William P. Sebek of Mount Pleasant, his seven Grandchildren, eight Great Grandchildren and Three Great Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Mary H. Kostyo Sebek in 2006, whom he married on Feburary 14, 1942, and his brothers, Edward, Lloyd, Robert and George Sebek and his sister; Rose Chrapczynsky, and his sons-in-law, Leo Breegle in 2005, and Marc Antoine in 2012. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Saturday at 12:30PM in the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Interment with Military Rites accorded by the Armbrust Veterans Association will be in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Greensburg.
