Obituary of Clara Arico Gogel

Mt. Pleasant, Clara Arico Gogel of Mt. Pleasant, PA, formerly of Elizabeth Township, died Tuesday (10/1/2013) in Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Gogel was born in Blythedale, Elizabeth Township, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Vitori Arico. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School, and Slippery Rock State Teachers College. Clara was employed by the Elizabeth Forward School District for over 35 years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and especially loved spending time with her family. Clara is survived by her loving family: her niece and caregiver, Mary Immel and her husband Brad of Mt. Pleasant, her nephews, Dan Arico of VA and Robert, Nick and Gary Arico all of Elizabeth Township, and numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gogel in 1968, and by her brothers and sister, Nick, Frank and Carmela Arico. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 4 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant. Funeral Services for Clara will be held Thursday at 1:30 PM in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Interment will be in the West Newton Cemetery.
