Obituary of John V. Penska

Mount Pleasant, John Vince Penska, age 85 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Wednesday (11/13/13) at Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Penska was born May 28, 1928 in Trauger, PA, the son of the late John and Ann Lesko Penska. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant. Vince was a veteran of the Korean War who served in the United States Army. He worked in heavy construction for the Adam Eidemiller Company until his retirement. Vince was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America Local #1058 and the VFW Post 3368 and American Legion Post #446 of Mt. Pleasant. Vince is survived my numerous nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Angelin Terzino Penska in 1988, his brothers and sisters; Aloise, Edward, Steve, and Charles Penska, John Lesko and Emil Magga, Ann Gelet, Mary Vargo, Julia Schwickrath and Matilda Dave, and most recently by his sister in law, Kathryn Terzino Dzubak in October of 2013. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Private Interment will be in the St. Pius X. Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
