Obituary of Pamela Jacobs

Mount Pleasant, Pamela Kerlin Jacobs, age 57 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Wednesday (11/13/13) at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Jacobs was born January 22, 1956 in Somerset, PA, the daughter of the late Porter and Geraldine Espy Kerlin. She was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church of Irwin. Pam was a 1974 graduate of Mount Pleasant Area High School, and received her teaching certificate from Penn State University. She was employed by the Head Start Program as a Pre-School Supervisor and Teacher for over 28 years. She enjoyed walking around her neighborhood and through the Mennonite Camp, enjoying nature. Pam was a loving, kind, gentle and caring person who enjoyed caring for her family, her friends and her beloved pets. Pam will be greatly missed by her husband of 19 years, Mark S. Jacobs, her brothers and sisters; David E. Kerlin of Greensburg, Porter G. Kerlin of Hunker, Linda Kachmarek and her husband Edward and Bonnie Crossland and her husband Henry, all of Mt. Pleasant and Sherry Elcock and her husband Dennis of Scottdale, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her sister, Ginger Kerlin in 2004. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Additional viewing will be held Saturday from 12 noon until 1:00PM, the time of her funeral service in the funeral home, with her Pastor The Rev. Robert H. Williams officiating.
