Obituary of Robert D. Albright

Mount Pleasant, Robert D. "Jowls" Albright, age 84 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Friday (02/21/14) at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Albright was born January 26, 1930 in Mammoth, PA, the son of the late Welty and Altie Blystone Albright. He was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church. Jowls had been employed for over 30 years as a Cement Finisher for the Weaver Construction Company, and was a member of Laborers International Local 1058 of Pittsburgh. He was a life member of the Kosciuszko Club. Bob was an avid Steeler Fan. He also enjoyed listening to country music and polkas. Bob was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather, who always had a smile on his face, and a kind word for everyone. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 58 years, Margaret F. Kubasky Albright, his daughter, Christine A. Smith and her husband Myrlen and their son Michael of Mt. Pleasant, his son in law, Marion J. Brzezinski and his children Melissa and Beth Brzezinski of Mt. Pleasant, and his daughter, Mary M. Brzezinski. Bob is also survived by his sister, Betty Bulebush and her husband William of Mammoth, his sisters-in-law, Veronica Kubasky and Patricia Kubasky, his brother-in-law, Raymond Kubasky and Judy, and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters; Arthur, Harry, Regis, Donald and Macklin Albright, Katherine Baker, Opal Adams and Adeline Leichliter. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30AM followed by his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 3PM and the Visitation Rosary Altar Society will pray the rosary immediately following.
