Obituary of Louis Michael Yuhouse

Scottdale, Louis Michael Yuhouse, Sr., age 77 of Scottdale, PA, died Wednesday (6/4/14) at his home. Mr. Yuhouse was born September 8, 1936 in Carpentertown, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Rosalie Seich Yuhasz. He was a member of the former Transfiguration Parish. Louis attended the former Hurst High School, and completed his GED in the 1980's.He worked for 26 years for the former Modulas Corporation and then went to work for the DCI Corporation of Murrysville where he retired from in 2002. Louis was an avid outdoorsman and gardener, and enjoyed helping his children remodel their homes. He also helped to remodel many properties in the Scottdale and Uniontown area. He was a member of the Slovak American Club of Hecla. Louis is survived by his loving family: his wife of 58 years, Virginia A. Hood Yuhouse, his beloved children; Louis M. Yuhouse, Jr. and his wife Judy of Scottdale, Donald Yuhouse and his wife Kimberlee of North Huntingdon, Ronald Yuhouse of Scottdale, Doug R. Yuhouse and his wife Meghan of Bullskin Township, Julia R. Jones and her husband Thomas of Acme, and Richard "Rick" Ulery and his wife Ann of Norwalk, OH. He will be greatly missed by his beloved grandchildren: Tobias Yuhouse and Casey, April Rowan and Brian, Leah Govi and Jordan, Alexandra Yuhouse and Zach, Aaron Yuhouse, Jillian Zarnick and Bruce, Evan Yuhouse, and by his great grandchildren; Madysen, Maddox, Waylon, Gwendolyn, and Mikaila. He was also anxiously awaiting the birth of another grandchild and a great grandchild. Louis is also survived by his brothers: Andrew Yuhouse of Mt. Pleasant, Albert Yuhouse of Bullskin Township, Steve Yuhouse of Youngwood, and Julius Yuhouse of Hunker. In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and John Yuhouse, and by his sisters, Margaret Yuhouse and Ethel Hileman. Family and friends will be received Friday from 4 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Louis will be held Saturday at 12:30 PM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel L. Blout officiating. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to a local Humane Society in memory of Louis M.
