Obituary of Martha Louise Jones Lovis

Mount Pleasant, Martha Louise Jones Lovis, age 84 of Mount Pleasant (Old Bethany), PA, died Thursday (8/21/14) in Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Lovis was born March 3, 1030 in Grapeville, PA, the daughter of the late Thomas and Dora Rager Jones. She was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. Louise had been employed at the former Frick Community Hospital, the Norvelt Sewing Factory and then worked in the housekeeping department of the Harmon House Convalescent Center, where she retired from. She was an avid sports fan, who especially loved watching the Steelers, and the Pirates. Louise is survived by her loving family: her husband of 60 years, Sylvester R. Lovis, her devoted children; Diana L. Lovis and her companion Ron Jakubovic, and David R. Lovis, all of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her brother, William H. Jones in 1974. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Louise will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Private Interment will be in the Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
