Obituary of Edna Zaronsky Maida

Mount Pleasant, Edna D. Zaronsky Maida, age 83 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Saturday (8/30/14) in the Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Maida was born March 31, 1931 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Paul and Helen Long Zaronsky. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Edna was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Edna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who devoted her life to caring for her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Gerald C. Maida, her children; Gerald E. Maida of State College, Jonathan P. Maida and his wife Misty, and Karen S. Maida ,all of Mt. Pleasant and by her beloved grandson, Ronald J. Hause, Jr., Ph.D., of Seattle. Edna is also survived by her brother and sisters; Paul Zaronsky, Jr. and his wife Geraldine of Mt. Pleasant, Doris Donnadio of Connellsville, Nancy Nowakowski of Philadelphia, and Joy Graczyk and her husband Ronald of New York. In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristie Maida Hause in July of 2014. In honoring the wishes of Edna and her family, there will be no hours of public visitation, and her funeral will be private.
