Obituary of Dorothy Ann Basinger Grimm

Dawson, Dorothy Ann Basinger Grimm, age 84 of Dawson. PA, died Thursday (11/27/14) at her home. Mrs. Grimm was born February 1, 1930 in Everson, PA, the daughter of the late Ernest and Olive Fry Basinger. She was a member of the Connnellsville Church of God. Dorothy had been employed by the former L.E. Smith Glass Company in the packing and shipping department. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a friend to many. She is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Marlene Grimm Hough and her husband Robert of Dawson and her grandson, Steven Hough of Orlando, FL. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Ivan Grimm in 1995 and by her sisters, Helen Jane Basinger Frye in 1995, and Doris Louise Basinger Keller in 2006. Honoring Dorothy's wishes, there will be no hours of public visitation. Private viewing and funeral services will be held for the family, with Interment in the Scottdale Cemetery.
