Obituary of Donald R. Hall

Mount Pleasant, Donald Richard Hall Sr., age 70 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Monday (1/26/15) in the Excela-Health Latrobe Hospital. Mr. Hall was born July 13, 1944 in Latrobe, PA, the son of the late Donald and Frances Bitner Hall. He was employed as a housekeeper for the Harmon House Convalescent Center of Mt. Pleasant. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing, but he most looked forward to spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Don is survived by his loving family: his children; Frances Rose Phillips of LaFayette, TN, Donald R. Hall, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, and Jason A. Hall of Garrett, IN, seven Grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Roy Hall of Auburn, IN, Wilbert "Web" Hall of Laughlintown, Anna Jane Jennings of Findlay, OH, and Helen Stevenson of Stahlstown. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his step mother, Marie Hall, his granddaughter, Britni Rose Hyso, his first wife, Barbara Raye Beatty, and his second wife, Frances Ann Sumner, and by is brother and sisters; Calvin James Hall, Edna Hazlett, Ethel Hissem, and Donna Jean Swope. There will be no hours of public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Don at 1:00 PM on Saturday 1/31/2015 at the Mt. Nebo Church, Champion, PA .Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
