Obituary of L. Marie Shaw Walker

Somerset, L. Marie Shaw Walker, age 87 of Somerset, PA, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday (2/25/15) at the In Touch Hospice, Somerset, PA. Mrs. Walker was born September 17, 1927 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Richard and Alberta Sillaman Shaw. Marie was a graduate of New Kensington High School, and had been employed by Alcoa in their billing department until her retirement. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan and enjoyed going to the dances at the VFW. Marie is survived by her loving cousin, Rebecca Brooks Lessig of FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred M. Walker in 2003, and by her brother, Charles Shaw. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Sandy Weimer, Kay Gleasson and the In Touch Hospice for their love and the exceptional care given to Marie during her illness Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM, the time of Marie's funeral service at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt.
