Obituary of Hattie M. Valentovish Sukenik

Bridgeville, Hattie M. Valentovich Sukenik, age 91 of Bridgeville, PA, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday (04/7/15) in the Country Meadows Nursing Center, Bridgeville, PA. Mrs. Sukenik was born October 15, 1923 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Leon and Hattie Maross Valentovish. Hattie was a loving, kind and compassionate lady. A wife and mother whose family always came first, and a proud and adoring grandmother who always made her grandchildren feel very loved and important. Hattie is survived by her loving family: her children, Jerry J. Sukenik and his wife Debi of Upper St. Clair, and Philip R. Sukenik and his wife Lisa of Duncansville, and by her beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Christopher, and Sara Sukenik. She is also survived by her sister, Bernadine Czekaj of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her parents, Hattie was preceded in death by her husband, Valentine A. "Bill" Sukenik and by her brothers and sister, Eugene and Edward Valentovich, and Florence Guzy. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev.
