Obituary of Robert Raymond Shawley

Indian Head, Robert Raymond "Shotgun" Shawley, Sr., age 88 of Indian Head, PA, died Tuesday (8/18/15) in the Eicher's Family Home, Normalville, PA. Mr. Shawley was born October 6, 1926 in Jones Mills, PA, the son of the late Clell and Clara Geary Shawley. He was a member of Millertown Church of God. Robert proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Prior to his retirement, Shotgun was employed as a Logger for Champion Lumber Co. He is survived by his loving family: his children; Judy L. Muko and her husband Thomas of New Stanton, Carol E. Miller and her husband Richard of Normalville, Kathy Rauschenberg of New Middletown, OH, and Robert R. Shawley, Jr. and his wife Janet of Latrobe, and Ricky L. Shawley and his wife Teresa of Mt. Pleasant. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Troy Shawley and Natasha,Chelsea Snyder and Chris, Jordan Keeler and Ethan, Michelle Anderson and Gary, Richard Miller, Jr. and Kimberly, Brian Miller and Kimberly, Stacey Miller, Charles Shawley and Terri, Deanna Heide and Robert, Tina Klink and Jesse, and Deanna Smith and Michael. His great grandchildren; Lexis Shawley, Ethan Shawley, Steven Anderson and Amber, Beau Anderson, Mackenzie Miller, Taylor Miller, Cody Miller, Mikayla Miller, Kaleb Miller, Jacob Miller, Charity Shawley, Casey Heide, Jaycey Lynn Heide, Tanner Smith and Carly Smith. His step grandchildren: Shelly, Jennifer, Nicholas and Phillip Garchar. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lucille Pritts Shawley in 1988, his daughters; Connie, Susan and Shelly Shawley, and by his four brothers and four sisters. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 & 5 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mount Pleasant, where funeral services will be held immediately following, with The Rev. Michael Bobula officiating. Private Interment will be in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery Saltlick Township.
